Avalon is an exquisite custom-built home, built in 1987, and renovated in 2008. Located on 6 acres, it has a beautiful well-manicured and expertly landscaped rolling lawn. Evergreens and apples tree surround the lawn in this lightly wooded area. On a quiet side road, It’s just a 12-minute ride to All Star Village and Oneonta. The owner created a playhouse – cabin that is a great place for children. White tail deer, wild turkeys and dozens of songbirds can be seen in the area.
The tasteful décor of ‘quiet class’ creates a welcoming ambiance. The main stairwell and a wall of the sunroom feature hand painted murals, by a local artist. One mural tells the story of the owners’ family and their interests. Avalon has a formal living, a den, a dining room and sunroom. Guests enjoy dining in the sunroom that looks out over the lawns and gardens. There is also a cozy covered rear porch with outdoor seating overlooking the rolling lawn and koi pond.
There is Central Air on the first floor and window A/C units in the bedrooms on the second floor.
Owners live in a separate apartment on the property and are close by if you need assistance.
A family room has a TV, toys and a treadmill.
